पहलगाम में मंगलवार दोपहर हुए आंतकी हमले में 27 लोगों की मौत हो गई और लगभग 20 लोग घायल हो गए। पीड़ित छुट्टी मनाने के लिए जम्मू-कश्मीर गए थे जब हमला हुआ। मृतकों में कर्नाटक, केरल, महाराष्ट्र, ओडिशा, गुजरात, हरियाणा, पश्चिम बंगाल और उत्तर प्रदेश के लोग शामिल हैं। इनके अलावा संयुक्त अरब अमीरात और नेपाल से दो विदेशी भी मर गए हैं।

2019 में पुलवामा आतंकवादी हमले के बाद जम्मू-कश्मीर में यह सबसे बड़ा हमला था, जो 22 अप्रैल को दोपहर 3 बजे के आसपास हुआ था। भारतीय क्रिकेटरों में शुभमन गिल, केएल राहुल, गौतम गंभीर, युवराज सिंह, पथिव पटेल और विराट कोहली ने इस अटैक के बाद घायलों और पीड़ितों के प्रति अपनी संवेदना व्यक्त की।
खिलाड़ियों ने अपने सोशल मीडिया हैंडल पर इस आतंकवादी हमले की सख्त निंदा की है। इस हमले से देश हिला हुआ है।
विराट कोहली ने अपनी इंस्टाग्राम पोस्ट में लिखा, “पहलगाम में निर्दोष लोगों पर हुए हमले से बहुत दुखी हूं।” पीड़ितों के परिवारों को सहानुभूति इस क्रूर घटना के लिए न्याय की प्रार्थना करता हूँ और मरने वाले सभी लोगों के परिवारों को शांति और बल मिलने की प्रार्थना करता हूँ।’
मृतकों के परिवारों के लिए प्रार्थना कर रहा हूं, गौतम गंभीर ने ट्वीट किया। इसके लिए जिम्मेदार लोगों को भुगतान करना होगा। भारत जवाब देगा।’ युवराज सिंह ने लिखा, “पहलगाम में पर्यटकों पर हुए हमले से दुखी हूं। और उनके लिए प्रार्थना करता हूँ। हम सब एकजुट होकर आशा और मानवता के साथ खड़े हो जाएँ।अन्य क्रिकेटरों ने भी कुछ ऐसा ही प्रतिक्रिया दी।
